Freebie Friday

Today one of my colleagues invited the whole team for a BBQ to his newly renovated old house. And it was beautiful. They really put a lot of work into it, but it was so worth it. Well I got home shortly before midnight, so I there are only a couple of freebies today. I'll pick up the rest tomorrow. While hunting I had a really big surprise: Wendy of Neverland Scraps made me my very own fan blinkie, and it's even in the IKEA/Schwedish colors yellow & blue. Wendy used her new Shopaholic kit to create it, which you can check out here. Thank you very much, Wendy. It totally rocks.

Sunny Saturday's Freebies

The weather this weekend in our part of Germany is bloody brilliant :-) No rain, blue skies as far as the eye can see, and 86°F/30°C. And it's going to be even better tomorrow. :-)) Not that I've had a chance to be outside today, besides walking to work from the streetcar, but I sure will tomorrow. And instead of turning on the air-conditioning at work today, I opened all the windows instead, so that is kind of like being outside, right? ;-)
I continued to work on our kitchen before going to work this afternoon, but I am far from finished. A lot of you have been asking how the house is coming along, sorry I haven't been updating lately, but I just got to a point where I didn't want to talk, think or even be reminded of it. Living in a construction site was about all I could stand. Well I have gotten over feeling sorry for myself for buying it and willingly doing this to myself and am beginning to enjoy renovating again. I think the problem was that we started in every room inside and outside the house at the same time, so we never really had one room finished. And I am not talking decoration here, but basics as paint and electricity. Now I can at least see light at the end of the tunnel or better I can again imagine what it will look like when I am finished. So progress is slow but we are getting there. No idea when, but the journey is the reward :-) Beside in a year from now, I will be sitting in my garden, feeling proud of what we have accomplished, and just plain enjoy myself. When I have some time to spare, I'll try to update my decorating blog, so I can show you what we have done so far. I'll keep you posted, promise.

Now enough blah-blah, here are the freebies you have been waiting for: 2x

Have a great weekend
