Wacky Wednesday

Hi Gals & Guys,

I'm not in the mood to go hunting today. I was working in our house this morning and afterwards went to work and of course had to stay late to make up the time. So now that I'm finally home one would think I would relax hunting for freebies, but no - no time again. Why? Our dry wall installer put up the plaster in our living room and bed room (yay :-)), so we are ready to paint. And who hasn't decided on a color scheme yet? me. Unbelievable and very atypical. Usually that is the first thing I do when I know I am moving, so I can buy small decorations that enhance the color scheme when they happen to cross my way. But this time I just can't decide. So tonight I'll surf the net looking for some color schemes that match our couch which is in the ugliest dark green color you have ever seen.
Wish me luck

Cheers, Angie

Good luck on your color hunt, Angie! When my husband and I built a house, the part I hated was choosing all the paint, tile, carpeting, etc. Lots of people love that stuff, but it makes me crazy. Too many decisions. But it's worth it to take your time. Cheers.

good luck on your color scheme! We finally decided to go with Faded Silk from the Ralph Lauren collection. It is a grey/green/light blue that JUST MAY match your couch!
We paired it with a cream and brown. Now if I could just find some fabric to pull it together :)

Good luck on your color scheme Angie! You could try one of the those color wheel thingies that designers use for scrap kits.. :-) Hugs !!!

Hey Angie, Instead of settling for some accents for the "ugly" color of your couch, maybe look for a furniture cover for your couch that is affordable and more attractive, -then accent that.-Sandy in Colorado

Two words, COUCH COVER! Go nuts with a fitted design in many colours/patterns and change it every week or every day depending on how you feel. All the best!

Good luck on deciding the colors! Always the hardest part huh!

Good luck! I love the idea of designing and really choosing what I want in a room...but it is so very overwhelming for me! I am so indecisve. I wish I could give you some kind of tip or piece of designing wisdom...I do hope that you get some rest!

I'm actually a little jealous...call it living in the same space for 20 years boredom. At the risk of stating the super obvious, ya know that Ikea has way cool sofa covers right? I've always wanted to buy just one funky-cool piece and build a room around it. Like this one: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50118889

How fun would that be?

Good luck and thanks for all you do.

uh, I really would like to see that green monster - I once had one myself. And I also bought a couch cover. But not one from Ikea, because they only have those big cloths where you always struggle to keep it in order.... Please let us know, whcih was your decision. BTW: I'm really happy to have found your blog because I'm just starting to scrap! Thank you!

I like Version 2. I like dramatic accents.

Good luck.
