Hi, lovely LO, but I want to warn you. Pedophiles are after these kind of kid photos... Please take it of the web, or cover up your little boy. Wish you the best and thank you for your list of freebies and tips every day! Meta, the Netherlands

I agree with the first comment. As beautiful as this layout is, you really need to take it down. I'd hate to see it used for the wrong purposes. Unfortunatly there are people out there that will.

Yes, I think it would be best to take your lovely layout off the web. Unfortunately there are some people who would like your layout for the wrong reasons.

This is the most precious layout I've seen in a long, long time. What a wonderful moment in time you have captured and remembered in a loving and colorful way. I've saved this for future scraplift. We're taking our boys to my cousin's lakehouse mid-July... maybe Littlle D will let me snap some similar photos. His big brother is too self-concious, now that he's 7. Thanks so much for sharing!

This is such an adorable LO. You did an amazing job! After seeing the other comments it's sad that someone might use something so precious in the wrong way.

So sweet and priceless! Janet

Very cute, but you might want to put an element in a strategic location so you don't get in trouble! I am loving this kit though. The stitches are awesome! This is a great page!

Hi Gals, thanks for your concern, but fyi: I watch my blog traffic with google analytics, so I know exactly how people find my blog and for what reasons. So far I have never had any sick people here. As long as it stays that way, I will continue to post what ever I like. It sure would piss me off if I had to restrict my freedom cause of some sick pedo.

well, then, I sure hope you have no cause to get pissed off, because this layout is just beautiful!! what a lovely happy face your boy has got... and I love all those stars and cardboard! glad you got some sleep last night too :) (though by now it's probably night again for you!) take care! xoxo

Das LO ist zwar schön, aber weißt du eigentlich, daß auch Pädophile im Netz nach so ungeschützten Fotos von nackten Kindern Ausschau halten und sie abspeichern? Und bestimmt finden sie das nicht nur niedlich.....

Very cute! Great title!

Hopefully the creeps stay away!

It's beautiful!! :)

My first thoughts were the same about the "sick" people. I hope it wont come down to that because the layout is simply gorgeous! It's great to see children at play, so freely :)

I love your layout! You do such amazing things with the kits and freebies you find. Those stars from W&W are amazing -- I am not really a stars person, but what you have done with them, really sells me on the kit and the papers. Great Work!

OMG-Ikea this is AWESOME FANTASTIC- WONDERFUL! I loved my son playing like that and I didn't even "think" as far as the first few comments! It's sad that something so "natural" as children playing 'freely' has to be hidden- I understand where the concerns come from but oh it's such a breautiful "share"- I LOVE IT! Great JOB-
Hugs

Great layout, super colors and I just had to laugh at the expression on his face in the upper left photo. Looks like maybe you just splashed him with water or something but it cracked me up!

This is an amazing layout! I love everything about this from the photos (tee hee) to the layout, to the choice of embellishments!

Wow!

I LOVE this LO Ikea! It's gorgeous! And I'm so glad that you monitor your traffic so well so that you can continue to share such beautful creations with us!

And, I can't wait to get my hands on those cardboard stars!!

I love this page - such a great memory! I read very carefully your credits, and I went to Scrapartist looking for the Super Stars by Gina but I can't find them. I see the cardboard stars, but none of the black stars on your layout. Help - please?
Also, a BIG thank you for sending me in a direction that produces freebies for me every day. You are the best. I could not afford to have the digi items I have if I had to pay for them. Thank you so much!

totally absolutely bare all adorable! (Sorry, couldn't resist, lol.) I'm so happy to hear that you have a way to track people's coming and goings because honestly, the comments I read (and one from another Rebecca at that) were in my line of thinking as well. I am glad to know there is a way to share such beauty and not be worried about the scary people that troll around the internet. That LO is just stunning! Totally a scraplift if ever there was one! :D

I re-read your blog and I see they are the cardboard stars. So sorry to bother you! Thanks!

Fabulous LO - totally scraplift worthy - thanks for the inspiration.

Hi, gorgeous layout. Love it. But trust me - you will want to remove this. I did receive an email from a sicko asking me for more ** photos of my baby girl (and this was 6 years ago when there weren't so many of them lurking). I felt *really* ill for weeks and weeks and the memory of it still makes me want to cry that someone somewhere might STILL have her photo and who knows what they are doing with it. I am now SO paranoid. Trust me - you don't want to feel like this. He is beautiful - don't let someone take advantage. You will feel violated and always wonder if they kept the photo. You can monitor your traffic but once someone has copied your photo what's done is done and they can put it up anywhere. Sad world we live in.

Maria said...

I forgot to say - add a few "stickers" in the most appropriate places and keep it up so we can all admire your beautiful work!

IkeaGoddess, you cant be serious? You cannot know if the person who visits your blog, is a sicko/pedophile or not ... simply by looking at their IP address or how they found your blog. That info doesn't tell you if they are male or female, sick or otherwise. It wont tell you that that person visits or is a member of sicko websites, all it will tell you is they are visiting your blog from their home computer. Yes, some of them are silly enough to go to your site after visiting a dodgy one, but many many are not. That's why they are still out there! All we are saying is take a copy of your LO, put some cute leaves on it for example, then put that one up on your blog, and keep your original copy for your personal scrapbook. This is not a time to be self righteous and say things like " i will continue to post what i like " and that it would piss you off to have your freedom restricted. This is not about your freedom, it's about your little boy who deserves to be protected from having his nude pictures posted on the www, which just happens to be CRAWLING with sicko's. I hope that you at least have a play around with your LO to see what it looks like with a few elements in the appropriate places .... then you will see that it will take nothing away from this LO, it will still look beautiful, no doubt about that. Please re-think this whole situation.

this layout is just adorable. I love the colors you used and the doodle stars. I have to go buy me the same kits you used and hopefully my pages will turn out as awesome as yours did. I might have to scraplift this one too!

BTW - love your site, I visit it everyday - you do a great job!

I absolutely love it! I totally understand what people are saying about pedophiles...its sick the type of people who are out there. I love taking photos of my little guy too...they are just so innocent...and this is probably the only time in your life it's cute to be naked! :-)

I love your layout and the photos are wonderful.

I don't think you should remove the page, but do suggest that you blur the portions of the photo that you may want to keep private.

Just a suggestion, which you are free to take or ignore.

Thank you so much for the freebies list. Keep up the good work with your pages for W&W. I love looking at them.

If you think any kind of a Google Analytics program is going to protect your son from being fodder for web pedophiles, you are dead wrong. The layout needs to be pulled - the sooner the better. It is in no way a good idea.

Refusing to pull it, and knowing what your son's picture could be used for is a big statement on the level of protection you are providing for him...

Shouldn't your son have the right to make the call on exposing himself to the worldwide web? What in the world makes you think this is okay?

Not to mention that this kind of things is against all kind of child protection laws.

Step up and protect your child. Do you like the idea of his image being right clicked and posted elsewhere?

As a former victim of this stuff, I am personally offended by your lack of concern. Find something else to take a weird freedom stand on... not this. You need to take it down before *someone* reports you to Blogger hosting...that would be a shame.

I'm sorry, but I have to agree with other posters. I think the layout is awesome, but I would either blur some of the "naked" spots or put a sticker over certain areas. At first, looking at your blog, it did not seem so bad, until you actually click on the picture and I can see everything perfectly clear.

You can check certain things on the net, but how do you know that I am not a "pervert" and I have now copied your son's image on my computer and am going to pass it around worldwide to all my buddies?

Really, if you are this good and can determine who I am from a computer, then you should be really rich by charging for your services and protecting thousands of people from the perverts of the universe. I am sure the police could use you also.

I do not say this to be mean, and yes, I sound harsh, but it does not seem as if you have a clue about how far this picture can go. For example, you seem to be in Germany and I am in the US. Already, your sons "wee wee" has crossed an ocean and then some.

Anonymous said...

Just because you can see who is viewing your blog doesn't mean you can keep them from using the images of your son inappropriately. In the times we live in, it's really best that you don't have the LO posted or to cover it up. It concerns me that you're just going to leave it up because you're more concerned about your freedom to do so than some sick pedophile.

Anonymous said...

Why on earth would you post that without some sort of cover up?? There's crazies out there! It's a cute layout but please - protect your baby!

Anonymous said...

How sad that people are requesting you to alter your blog. It is a beautiful lo of your little guy.

Anonymous said...

Your son is beautiful, and it's a charming layout, but I have some of the same concerns as the other posters about a nude photo of your child being posted on the web. I have four beautiful sons, and I would feel very uncomfortable posting a layout such as this. Honestly, you can't know what type of person is visiting your blog - and I would not trust a computer program to protect my child's privacy. And since your right click function is not disabled, it would be easy for anyone to save the picture to their hard drive. It is a shame that we live in a world where we have to worry about such things, but we do.

Anonymous said...

"You need to take it down before *someone* reports you to Blogger hosting...that would be a shame. "

You mean like you. Why did you do that? If you are so disturbed about it you could have just hit the little red X in the upper right hand corner. What a shame when she has so many neat things to check out here.

jen said...

I am an Analytics Expert and there is no way to know if the person on the other end of the PC is a perv or not. Such as you will see that I am from a n rr.com service but you can't see my name, or info about me. It only takes a perv one visit to do what they need and get what they want.

What kind of mother puts such images of her innocent child on the web like that. HOW WRONG. PROTECT YOUR CHILD screw your freedom of expression what about his freedom and right to a safe environment. This is a true example of Child Endangerment. This is so WRONG.

Anonymous said...

Your child and your layout are beautiful. It makes makes me angry that you cannot post such innocent beauty on the web - but sadly I do not believe that you can. I work in children's services and sadly know how your son could be abused by this. i hope that you continue to make layouts celebrating the innocent natural beauty of a naked child - but please for the sake of your own child and others, please don't post them on the web. My thoughts are with you and I hope that you are able to accept these comments as genuine concern for the safety of children and that you don't feel bullied by this.

Anonymous said...

I love everything about this layout. What a beautiful boy.

Just a word about the concerns expressed: no one loves this boy more than his mother. I'm sure she has considered all of the comments (how judgemental some of you are! and inflammatory comments like "What kind of mother.." are ignorant). We should all respect her decision. Don't like it? Don't visit the blog anymore.
