Monday’s Freebies

Hiya gals & dadoo,
Chris and I are off work this week. Since Thursday is a holiday in Germany and our kindergarten is closed Friday, we thought we might as well add 3 more days and get some work done around the house. So what did we do today? We went with Damien and his best friend Leo to the zoo, because the kindergarten teachers were on strike again. Just our luck, I tell ya. We had a bunch of fun, but our house is still a disaster area. I just hope the strike doesn’t continue tomorrow. Btw, we decided on going to the zoo in order to keep the boys busy and make ‘em nice ‘n tired. However Chris and I ended up being the ones dead on our feet and the boys were fit as a fiddle. I wish I had their energy.
Have a great week
Cheers, Angie aka IkeaGoddess

My daughter and I went to the zoo today too since I had the day off from work. I was exhausted by the time we left, but my 4yo was still going strong. I wish I had her energy too!! I could get so much done!

My husband and I have considered moving to Germany (his mother moved from there as a child) and we have small children. So, I'm curious about the kindergarten teachers being on strike. Teachers, public ones at least, are not allowed to strike here, it would be deemed too detrimental to the general public (I could be wrong, but this is what I believe). Would you mind giving me a little more detail? Thanks.
