Here are some layouts I did today (mostly with recent freebies). I haven't scrapped in ages, it feels so good to finally get creative again. I made these for the goddess of shopping aka my mom, who is at a health resort for the next six weeks starting today. I plan to send her card a day (or at least every other day).
Day 1: this one had to be real quick, cause I wanted to send it out today, in order for her to get it tomorrow morning. Since I only had 1 hour before work, I used a quickpage. I hardly ever use quickpages, because they don't make me feel very creative. That is one of the reasons why you will hardly ever find a QP in my freebie lists. The exceptions are QPs where I can't find anything I would change (or some that are so simple that I can put tons of embellishments on top). This one by Laura (made with Misty's kit) is in my eyes just plain perfect - I didn't change one little thing. You can still get it on Misty's blog, it's from yesterday's freebies.Credits: quick page by Laura Kockelkorn created by using Starting in Style by Misty Cato. Font: Harrison.
Day 2: I used two of todays freebies for the following layout: Traci's Freestyle template and Corina's Purty paper & element. I used the Purty paper because it's nice and grungy. I like paper that is grungy, shabby, and/or highly textured. That is why you don't find any "flat" papers among my freebie finds - they may be pretty, but I just don't like to scrap 'em, sorry. JillD's green paper, TracyMarieReed's red suede paper, and HeatherWatson's red flower are from the CKMag's Keepsakes kit. For the wordart (Küsschen means little kiss in German) I used Scriptina as a font and AtomicCupcake's sparkle and chipboard action.
Day 3: for this layout I used Kim's Sprung mini-kit from today's freebies. I love this kit because it's so shabby and the color-combo is an eye-popper.Credits: Kim Christensen's Sprung kit, BrenBoone's Shabby Flowers, CarrieStephens' flower vine peach, AmyTeets' hybrid photo frames, AtomicCupcake's felt, tear, and sparkle action, fonts: DSP Grandma's Hand and Girls Are Weird.

Cute layouts! I love what you did with Kim's SPRUNG kit!
lovely layouts ! i really love the first one !!!!
I love seeing your cutie in my quickpage! I'm so glad I asked Misty to share it!!! Glad you like it too! I will continue to send them in to Misty!
Well now I know why I have anxiety attacks waiting for your freebie lists! I don't like to scrap with "flat" papers at all either, though I do when I run out of textures that I like or for other people who want them for a present LO.
Gorgeous layouts!!!!!!
