Monday’s Freebies

Have any of you ever done Project 365? I read about it on Meridith’s blog and am intrigued. Maybe that would be a good new year’s resolution. I don’t want to do it as a paper project, but digital. I would like to hear about your experiences, if you have done something like it.

Hey Angie, I went from Meredith's blog to the CK blog to Becky Higgins' blog http://www.beckyhiggins.com/blog/ where she has videos of the kit and how she has designed it to work. I think I would like to do it in digital form, but don't think I want it to totally replace my other scrapping, so struggling with the time commitment. It IS intriguing. Would love to hear if you are going to do it.

I like the 365 concept - thanks for mentioning it. I, too, don't think I want to totally replace scrapping the bigger events, but it's a great way to incorporate the everyday moments I never think to record. With Meredith's templates, it would be quick enough to pop in a picture and journal and worry about the decorative part later.

I am totally excited about the 365 Project. I love the idea of scrapping everyday "stuff". I am really new to digi, and haven't decided yet on which way to go (digi or paper). Love the concept of keeping it really simple and giving a n overview of the entire year.

Hi Angie! I hope you and your family had a fabulous holiday.

I too am intrigued by Project 365. I really wish someone designing for the digi community would put together something similar to Becky's kit(s). I'm just not sure I will find the time to keep up with this type of project if I am putting all the pages together myself. I am considering doing it with just photo overlays and maybe a few 4x6 journaling cards that I make when I have the time. How do you think you might do this digitally? I would love to hear your ideas, as I am looking for a creative way to make this work, without putting too much pressure on myself.

Thanks again for another great day of freebies. :-)

It is a wonderful project. I am just two days from completing it for 2008 (366 days). I don't have a blog, but you can see my daily pages (plus others) in my gallery at http://board.deco-pages.com/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=3008

It is very rewarding!
Good luck to all who go for it.

Hi Angie,
Looks like others have weighed in about 365, but wanted to also direct you to http://photojojo.com/content/tutorials/project-365-take-a-photo-a-day/
according to them, there's a person who kind of developed the concept in '04, and there's an article about what he has found about it, etc. I think it would be a good read to put it into perspective, and I think you might look back and be glad you did it, given some of the great little stories you share here. On a side note, if you don't get photojojo's newsletter, you totally should...it's great. :)
Hope you and your family continue to enjoy the holidays,
Carin

I love this idea, I'll have to keep my camera to hand and remember to take photos! I'm definitely going to give it a go (digitally) and I may give up at some point but I hope not!

Thanks for all the great links to freebies by the way! I've been visiting your blog for a few weeks now and never miss a day!

I'm going for the challenge as well this year. I created a little template that I just posted on my blog and I think I will use the DigiTreats kits for 2009 for the papers. She is created monthly theme kits in three different color schemes and I think the two things together will work out great.

I plan to do Meridith's challenge with a little twist. I will look at it as a 52 week challenge and plan to scrap 7 photos from each week. I just wanted to take some of the pressure off from doing a photo a day - start with 7 photos a week! Who knows, maybe I will end up taking one each day as I get in the groove.

I hope lots of designers will jump on the bandwagon and provide inspiration and maybe some mini kits to help scrap each of the weeks. I am not a designer and really need the help of others to get the inspiration and ideas for scrapping going. I am a very visual person!

I am very excited about this and hope I can do a good job.

I just found out about 365 projects myself and joined a Flikr group. Oh how exciting! I think my darling stubborn hates his looks hubby is also going to do it too!!!! Yay, maybe he'll accept himself for who he is by the time this is all done. I also look forward to bouncing ideas off each other and bonding over this project this year. My dream is also for us to get pregnant again this year if/when he is ready and the doctors and fertility meds work fast.

Hi Angie,
First of all thank you very much. I adore share little things I do (I'm not a big real designer ;-) ) and you help me so much. I am pretty exicted each time I meet my links here because each time downloading score is very high !
About 365 project, I experienced it. I do not give up for the moment even if I follow hardly day by day. It is a funny project with three points of difficulties :
- having your cam on you everyday. I choosed to keep my little kodak cam but the quality of photo is not the same ... I prefer DSLR
- finding subject each day
- trying to not expose your everyday life day by day
I am happy you talk about that and will be pleased to discover your project sooner.
