camera bag

I found my camera bag: the Crumpler Pretty Bella 3000 – cute, functional & small. I would have liked it with more color, but it only comes in black. However the white stitching makes it interesting and more girly.

It is a European model (sorry not available in the US) and is slightly smaller than the 5 Million Dollar Home US model. The cheapest price I found was 40€, which makes it cheaper that the 5 Million Dollar Home I originally picked.
While I was at it, I also got the Crumpler Pretty Bella 55 for small point & click cameras. It was only 15€. The shoulder strap is removable and it can be attached to a belt or purse strap or my preference the shoulder strap of the big Bella ;-)

I don’t even have a point & click camera at the moment, because my old one is no longer working. I’m thinking about getting the Canon PowerShot SD110IS (US) / Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS (EU).

The reviews I read so far are great and since it’s not the newest model, it is in an acceptable price range. Do any of you have this camera? What is your experience with it?

I love the Canon Power Shot, it's great, awesome pictures, easy to use and what I really love is that is really fast and also can be used manual with lost of possibilities. After I've got mine I've got another for my daughter. Hope it helps.

I have this exact camera and I LOVE IT!!!! I use it almost all the time and my DSLR is sitting around unloved. I bought it before we went to Disney World because my Olympus E-510 is SO HEAVY that I knew I wouldn't want to carry it every day. Took the little camera everywhere. It's fantastic!!!!!!

I highly recommend any of the cannon point and shoot cameras. I got a similar model recently when my old SD600 broke. (husband dropped it on a hike) I continue to be impressed with the cannons and think you will be perfectly happy with this camera.

I have it and I love it! The only thing I sometimes miss is the aperture priority mode, but for a small point and shoot it's incredibly customisable, and the image stabiliser feature rocks.

Love the Cannon Power Shot and Nikon has a fab one (advertised by Ashton Kutcher)if you go to their site link to his preferences. I have several friends with some of his picks, and they consistently have the best pics in the group!!!!

I've got the same Power Shot in a pretty blue and I LOVE it. I'm trying to participate in project 365 (which reminds me, I need to go take a picture...) so the camera goes everywhere with me in my purse!

Love that Canon point & shoot. It's the second I've bought over the years. I use it when not using my Canon Rebel XTI and it works great. I also have it in pink!

Gorgeous Crumpler!! Thanks to you and your blog I've got a blue/orange 5 Million Dollar Shak on its way for my new Christmas baby. Can't wait. Would love a funkier fabric, but I'm happy not to have a plain jane generic bag. Thanks for all you do - freebies AND shopping support! :) Tracy MB

My p&s camera is a Canon Powershot 790 IS and I love love love it!! I have a Nikon D80 for my DSLR, but nothing beats my Canon for a P&S.

Not sure about the model you mentioned...mine is fairly new, but I have only heard wonderful things from friends who have older models.

I don't think you can go wrong with a canon-- I did a lot of research into cameras before I got my Canon DSLR. If you're looking for a point-and-shoot, Canon are fantastic.

I had been using a 4-year-old Canon Elph and have found it to be durable, easy to use, and, most importantly, it takes great pictures. (For a point and shoot. What I wanted to be able to do with a camera requires a DSLR). We tried just upgrading point-and-shoots. We didn't think that the value of the upgrade to a newer Canon was worthwhile and tried a cheaper route to more megapixels (dumb dumb dumb). Whatever you do do NOT get a Sony T-Series. They take terrible indoor shots-- we took ours back after a day because my old Canon point and shoot took better kid shots! Canons are worth the price and will likely last you a long time!

LOVE the bag ... and the new camera! You must have been so excited to open it! I will have to work on hubby for one :)

I have one and LOVE it! For the price it can't be beat. I used an older model at work for 2 years before buying one of my own last spring. It's easy to use, and it takes good shots.

I bought my daughter the Canon PowerShot SD770 IS 10MP. I looked at the one you are thinking about, too. At the time, the one I chose was less expensive as it was on sale.I really didn't know which one to get so I let the price decide for me. Now the price has gone up. Do you know what the differences are?
I love your bag! The stripes definitely make it look like a bag for a girl.

Hi Angie!
Thanks for your post about your camera back! It's really pretty!
I decided to take the Pretty Boy of Crumpler, but everywhere it's sold out :( Now I'm looking for another one and maybe yours is a possibility.
Greetings, maike

I actually just returned this camera....well, the one it replaced...I had the 100is. I just did TWO full days of research on this and finally purchased the Canon Powershot SD790IS. It got the best reviews that I could find. The website that was really helpful to me was
http://www.testfreaks.com/digitalcameras/
I hope this helps.

I have that camera and I love it. I upgraded to a dslr this Christmas too, but I still keep the 1100 in my purse for random snapshots.

Thanks for the project 365 tip, I'm doing it too!

If youre looking for a good camera at a good price www.woot.com is a great site to check daily. They are a deal a day site. They had a great camera about 10 days ago with all the latest features at an exceptional price. It was a pentax I believe. They usually have cameras fairly often.

I've just bought it in the UK with my Xmas money and it is awesome. It has a very long life li-on battery, holds over 500 pictures on a 2gb memory card and is very adjustable in manual mode. It is very good value and I am so happy with mine. It is really quick as someone said already and the ISO ranges from80-1600, so you can take pictures in all light conditions. Great for indoor shots and fast moving kids too!

PS I've got a photo of it on my blog and some recent photos taken with it on my 365 blog.
Thank you also for your awesome blog.
