Sunday’s Freebies

Today was the first time Damien had to be treated at the hospital for a head wound. While Chris & I were at work today, Damien was at Chris’ parents. There he jumped around the couch like crazy and wasn’t listening till he slipped and hit his head on the couch table made of really thick glass. Apparently they don’t stitch these kind of wounds anymore, they are glued. So now Damien’s forehead is glued together and he has strawberry blond bangs because of the blood. And it doesn’t even bother him one bit. I think secretly he is even proud of his little stunt. Good thing we moved near the hospital. I have a feeling it won’t be the last time they see us.

I hope your little boy heals quickly! That is scary stuff!
So, you seem like a very busy lady but if you have time, could you let me know where I can find a bunch of eyelets? I am just looking for plain, metal, colored eyelets to put on the corners of my photos. I am a newbie and am having the hardest time finding them! you can post on my blog or email me to joshncrystal@hotmail.com
Thanks!

Glad he's OK! My daughter had to go to the ER for a cut on her chin (monkey bars are evil!). Dermabond is great stuff.

I hope your son feels better soon! I have a son too and am preparing myself for similar stunts =). I enjoy your blog tremendously and it got me started on the digital scrapbooking road. I have recently started designing my own elements and have been giving them away as freebies on my blog. Feel free to take a look! Thanks!

Hope your little guy heals quickly. My son got a staple to his head (both times). The doctor said it's much easier to glue or staple than for a kid to sit still for stitches.

Be thankful for the wonder glue- sure beats holding kids down for stitches :)

My daughter split her head open running in the house when she was four. She also had it glued. I took her to get the strips removed and the doc said they just drop off when it's healed, you don't remove them. And to keep an eye to make sure it doesn't go red around the edge because that means an infection is starting. You can barely see the scar now she's 9.

How freaky for your parents LOL I hope he's OK.

I have lost count of the hospital trips (for head wounds alone!) we have made with my five kids. We now have a supply of glue at home. Poor little buddy... Maybe he'll have a "cool" scar to show off for a little while before it fades.
