I haven’t figured out how to make the previews larger when they are clicked on. If you know how to do this please leave me a comment.
A couple of you asked how to get the header to spread across the page. Well I created it 1200px wide and 331px height with 100px resolution. I use one of the standard blogger templates: Minima Lefty Stretch (I don’t know if that has anything to do with it). When uploading it via blogger you have to remove the check in the shrink to fit box under placement.
As for the labels on the left, I just added them as pictures. That may not be the elegant way to do things, but I don’t know a different way. I actually figured most of these things out via trial and error.

Just in regard to someone asking about clicking for a larger preview: when I click on the set of preview pictures, a new tab opens with a full page version of that set (usually six) previews. It always has. I checked, it still does. (Maybe before your changeover it opened in the same window rather than a new one, I don't remember, but it always opened a larger preview.)
Maybe because I use Mozilla not IE?

Regarding clicking on the images to see a larger version, I've just discovered that when you're composing a post and after you've loaded a picture into the post, any text you wrote previously that you might want before the picture, you have to move the text, not the picture. Make sense? I don't know if this will work but I'm wondering if a person uploaded all the pictures they wanted into the posting and add the text afterward if that would still make the images clickable to a larger size too. ??? Don't know but I'll try it next time I'm logged into my blog and doing maintenance. :)
