Condolence card

This evening I did an unusual layout. I called my Grandma today and she told me that one of her dearest friends had suddenly died. He was 86 and had lived a rich and fulfilled life, especially the last 10 years where he fell in love with my Grandma's best girl-friend. They were so cute together. I won't be able to go to his funeral, because they live on the other side of Germany, so I will send her a card. The condolence cards you can buy are either very religious (which I'm not) or boring, so I decided to make one myself.
Credits: True Colors blue paper (recolored in black) by Lori Wiley, font: DominicanItalic, the Angel is a picture I took a while back at an old cemetery in town. The card reads: The bad thing about death is not the fact that he takes a loved one from us, but rather that he leaves us alone with our memories.

your sympathy card is very beautiful, and the saying is very appropriate.

That saying is so profound. WOW. Is it a quote or is it your original? I find it so true.
Beautiful card.

Ich habe schon immer mal nach einer Erklaerung gesucht, die den Tod eines geliebten beschreibt. Ja, der Tod ist ein Teil des Lebens, es tut dennoch verdammt weh, jemanden zu verlieren! Absolutely love this page!!!
